As a member you are welcome to organize meetings yourself, and we are very thankful for all initiatives, and it is much easier than it might seem.

As an organizer, it is very important that you do not deviate from our rules for meetings in order to give all speakers a good experience:

  • You must pay attention to messages from members on a regular basis, and the information about your meeting, on the website, must be updated regularly as well. Remember in particular the status of the meeting and the number of enrollments.

  • You must provide a room with chairs and water. It can be your home or a room booked specifically for the meeting. Only your imagination sets the limit. Here you can get help to find rooms.

  • If necessary, you must provide guidance at the place to help participants locate the meeting place.

  • You must time the speakers' speeches.

  • You must initiate an applause after each speech.

  • If you want to, you can give a speech, but you must level with the meeting.

  • It is your job to make sure that your meeting does not become a forum of discussion. Everybody must have the freedom to deliver speeches without being criticized.

  • It is your responsibility to make sure that the meeting is conducted with order and respect, and that nobody leaves with a bad experience.

You can add a comment to your meeting, if it deviates from the standard:

E.g. if the language differs from the country's language, if pictures are taken during the meeting, if the meeting is held outdoors, if the meeting is open to the public, if journalists participate or something else.

Your meeting is announced on this website, but you are welcome to announce it via other media to draw attention to your meeting and 123SPEAK in general.

We wish to help as many as possible, and you are very much welcome to contact the press for purposes of publicity.

If you are the first one to hold meetings in your city, do not hesitate to contact us and we will e-mail the members in your city.
